About us:

Falcon Junior is a welcoming, inclusive school with a 'Good' Ofsted rating, dedicated to fostering growth and providing top-quality education. We wish to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated school staff supporting individual learning and behaviours for learning within the classroom. You will be able to make an impact on pupil progress and engagement working in a supportive Year 3 class. There will be opportunities for on-going professional development. Hours of work, 8.40am – 3.10pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individuals with an EHCP or SEN plan to access the curriculum
  • Following individualised behaviour plans to support positive behaviour in the classroom
  • Supervise children during playtime or on school trips when directed
  • Work closely with the class teacher and the Year team as a whole
  • Assist the teacher with preparing classroom resources and maintaining a tidy classroom when required
  • Support within the year group when required

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Has successful experience of working in Year 3 and Key Stage 1.
  • Has high expectations of what children can achieve
  • Is able to support the curriculum in a creative way
  • Can inspire all children including those who have barriers to learning
  • Can work as part of a team
