Teaching Assistant job summary

Teaching Assistants are a vital part of our school community. Over time, the role has developed significantly, and today TAs are recognised as skilled professionals who make a real difference to pupils’ learning and outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced and knowledgeable teaching staff, supporting individuals and groups to ensure that all pupils can access learning and thrive.

The role we are offering has the following key details for applicants:

Role is sought for a January 2026 start date.

Candidates could work in any year group (experience in Early Years would be desirable).

Role is term-time only.

Salary: Grade 3, Scale Point 5 - 6 (£25,584 - £25,989 FTE) (Actual salary pro-rata, depending on hours).

Hours: 19.5 hours a week: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday - 08:30 - 15:30

Maternity Cover, 1-year contract initially with the opportunity to extend.
