Teaching Assistant (Fixed Term) job summary
Due to the ongoing growth of Sherford Vale School and Nursery, we currently require fixed term, part-time Teaching Assistants - 28 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
We are seeking to appoint two caring, friendly, and experienced Teaching Assistants to join our supportive and dedicated team.
The successful candidates will:
- Demonstrate a secure understanding of the needs of all learner groups.
- Promote consistently high standards of behaviour and learning.
- Work effectively as part of a committed and supportive team.
- Provide high-quality support to help pupils achieve their best outcomes.
- Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including working with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis where required.
Applicants should hold a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) and/or have a proven track record of successful experience working with children in an educational setting. Experience of supporting children with SEND would be advantageous.
