Teaching Assistant for Health and Wellbeing Role job summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our Well-being Team supporting students across the school sites.
32.5 hours per week 39 Weeks per year. (Term time plus INSET days) Term time hours of work: Monday 08.45 am – 4.45 pm Tuesday - Friday 08.45 am to 3.30 pm.
Salary range for Grade 13, point 6 – 11 £18,942 - £20,511 (actual annual gross salary) Dependent on experience
The successful candidate will be required to work with a range of our students and the staff supporting them. This will include working alongside professionals to implement physio programs, ensuring specialist equipment is in place and supporting some students to access learning from home.
It may be necessary to attend clinics, again liaising with professionals, parents and staff about changes to medication, feeding regimes and intimate care plans. Also writing and reviewing individual care & medical plans.
Training in and delivering manual handling and writing and reviewing manual handling plans. Training in the Halliwick method, focusing upon teaching all students but in particular those with physical and learning difficulties to participate in water activities, to move independently in water and to swim.
