What skills and experience we're looking for

Our outstanding school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated teaching assistant to join our welcoming Early Years Team.

We are looking to appoint either experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals with the desire and potential to learn new skills through our comprehensive training package.

The successful candidates must be dedicated, have a belief that all children can succeed and a passion to make a difference.

The successful candidates will work with our children in a variety of ways including providing support in a reception classroom and by leading small groups of children in varied learning situations.

Graduates, including those considering a teaching career in the future, are very welcome.

We are looking for candidates who must:

  • Possess energy and enthusiasm
  • Are innovative and flexible
  • Be willing to go the extra mile for our lovely pupils
  • Are committed to making a difference to children’s lives
  • Are keen and effective learners, willing to learn new skills and undertake professional development opportunities.
  • Have the confidence to lead small groups of children in different interventions
  • Work well in a team, follow instructions and also work on their own initiative
  • Provide lunchtime supervision
  • Be kind, have empathy and contribute positively to our team
