The Role

Gladstone Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant  (Experience of EYFS desirable). As a Teaching Assistant you will support the progress of students with additional learning needs and physical needs in class and/or in small groups to overcome barriers to learning. You will be required to organise the learning environment and develop classroom resources as required as well as monitor and track progress and provide feedback to assist in developing strategies for individual students. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (e.g. students, staff, parents).

The Person

You will:

  • Have knowledge of child development and the ways in which students learn
  • Have ability to assist students on an individual basis, in small group and whole class work
  • Have Experience of working with children
  • Have Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding/how to keep children safe
  • Experience of EYFS desirable
