THE ROLE

As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future. This includes:

• Getting the classroom ready for lessons
• Supporting the pupils in class
• Helping those who need extra support
• Completing pupils records
• Using initiative to plan alternative learning
• Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home

THE CANDIDATE

• Experience in a school or similar setting
• IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs or an interest to work with these pupils
• Educated with GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships

SALARY/ HOURS

Starting salary for a grade 2 Teaching Assistant is £18,596.99 actual annual salary working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust https://wellspringacademytrust.co.uk/careers/why-join-us/
