Welcome to St Swithun’s Church of England Primary Academy, a member of Southwell and Nottingham Diocese Multi Academy Trust (SNMAT)

For our children and staff, St Swithun’s is not just a school, but a nurturing inclusive community underpinned by Christian Values and a belief that we are all on a journey, discovering our God-given potential and understanding our roles and responsibilities in the world.

We believe that every child is unique; every child is valued, encouraged to aspire, and challenged to achieve.

It is our aim to provide a school experience that is rich with opportunities for our children to develop academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

We place great emphasis upon the well-being and personal development of every child and we strive to equip them with a curiosity, self-belief and an excitement for learning. We encourage our pupils to be thoughtful, and to express themselves so that they can move on with the confidence to embrace all the rich possibilities of their future lives.

We believe in listening to our children and encourage them to contribute to various aspects of school life through the Student Council, Sports Crew, Eco-Council and Worship Leaders.

As parents or carers you are partners in your child’s journey through these formative school years. We will work closely with you to ensure that the time your child spends with us gives them the very best foundations for their futures.

We welcome you to talk with our staff, walk round our school, and to get a feeling for what it would be like to be a member of the St Swithun’s School family.
