 Job Details 

An attractive and exciting post has become available at Upper Arley C of E Primary school are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and hardworking Teaching Assistant (Early Years) with strong Early Years Foundation stage experience to work in the schools Early Years setting and to lead the running of the schools new Wrap Around Care provision. 

 

The purpose of this post is to work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction of the class teacher and senior staff in the schools Early Years and Key Stage 1 class and the schools Wrap Around Care provision. This is inclusive of those children with specific learning needs, enabling access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support within classroom management and behaviour techniques providing specialist support in a specific 28.04.20 curricular/resource area. 

 

It is essential that the candidate has excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and strong experience of working within the Early Years framework. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as art of a team. A Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification or Level 3 in an Early Years Qualification is essential. 

 

Tasks will include supporting the class teacher to ensure learning is maximised and the specific needs of pupils are met within the classroom setting. Along with helping to plan, engage and play activities with children aged 3-11, the candidate will prepare and serve light snacks during breakfast and after school sessions. This is an exciting new post, as the school continues its journey to serve its community and continue to develop a good reputation for learning.
