What skills and experience we're looking for

The Board of Directors of The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support pupils learning at Grampound Road CofE Primary School.

We are a welcoming and inclusive school that places great importance on creating a nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their best. Our pupils are happy, polite and eager to learn, and they are supported by a friendly and committed staff team who work collaboratively to ensure the best outcomes for all children.

The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, working closely with teachers to help pupils access the curriculum and develop confidence in their abilities. A nurturing and patient approach is essential, particularly when supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves helping to create engaging learning experiences, encouraging independence, and providing additional support where needed so that every child can thrive.

The individual we welcome into this role will be positive, organised and hardworking, with strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with pupils, staff and families. A commitment to inclusion, teamwork and continuous reflection on practice will be key to success in this role. In return, Grampound Road Primary School offers a supportive and collaborative environment where staff wellbeing and professional development are valued, and where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children’s lives.

Grampound Road CofE Primary School is part of The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust where our schools work in partnership to fulfil our belief that together, we can build a brighter future for our children. We are looking for a new member of staff to embrace and support our schools in creating an environment where the children have the opportunity to be the best they can be.
