Our school is looking to appoint an excellent practitioner who has a real understanding and passion for supporting children with SEND. This role includes 8.30am start and 30min daily lunch duty.

You will be working within our Specialist Resource Base (SRB) for children with ‘Learning and Cognition’ needs. The SRB is a 20-place Local Authority provision for Key Stage 1 + 2 children, who join us from local schools, for a period of 2 terms. The children attend four days a week (Mon to Thurs).

We are looking for someone who:

  • can effectively support the SRB teachers to achieve and maintain high standards of care and education;
  • has a good understanding of how to motivate children to engage in their learning;
  • has a range of strategies to promote excellent behaviour;
  • is determined to identify what helps a child learn, overcoming barriers along the way;
  • has excellent communication skills;
  • is creative and have a willingness to offer new ideas;
  • is calm, supportive, approachable to children, parents and staff;
  • is committed to working as a member of a team, and contributing to whole school development and the wider life of the school
