Teaching Assistant job summary

Required as soon as possible - Level 1/2 Teaching Assistant

This is a term-time only role – up to 30 hours per week with additional Midday Supervisor contract

Monday to Friday, core school hours are between 8.30am and 3.30pm

Salary: £16,409 - £17,472 (Actual Salary per year) Meridian Trust, Grades 4-5 (Level 1/2 Teaching Assistant) plus additional Midday Supervisor contract paid at £12.30 per hours (FTE)

You will be part of a very friendly team working to support a child's learning.This will be a varied role where you will need to be consistent and resourceful - a rewarding and vital role in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our children and you will see their progress every day! An element of your duties will also include preparation of fantastic teaching resources/class displays and will also include a separate contract of thirty minutes of midday supervision during the children’s lunchbreak.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have achieved GCSE English & Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalent
  • Has some experience of supporting children in Key Stages One or Two.
  • Will possess outstanding communication skills and can work well in a team
  • Demonstrates an understanding of child protection and safeguarding issues
