Teaching Assistant job summary
The Holgate Academy needs a Teaching Assistant with experience of carrying out a range of learning development, student welfare and administrative tasks to support students and teaching staff in the Academy and within the community. We would welcome applications from a teaching assistant with year 6 or secondary experience or a qualified teacher with primary or secondary experience looking to move roles or return to teaching

Salary: Grade 3 or 4 dependent on experience, actual min starting salary £13,548 or £14,958
Working hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only

You would carry out a range of learning development, student welfare and administrative tasks to support students and teaching staff in literacy and numeracy support, student support within classes and examination support to GCSE standard and assessment and recording of student progress. You would work under the guidance of senior and teaching staff based at the outreach behaviour unit working with KS4 students and be required to follow an agreed system of supervision, and implement agreed work programmes to individuals and small groups.
