About this Role

At Horncastle Primary School, we believe the first steps in a child’s education are the most important. We are looking for a temporary Teaching Assitant on a I year contract to bring fresh energy and care to our school.

The Role As a vital part of our teaching assistant team, you will:

    • Support children’s social and emotional skills, helping them find their voice and regulate their feelings.
      • Collaborate closely with teachers to deliver an engaging, play-based curriculum.
        • Create a safe, "home-from-home" environment where children feel brave enough to learn.
        • Hours: 27 hours 30 mins per week (Term Time + 5 Training Days).

        • Schedule: 5 hours 30 mins daily.

        • Period : 01/09/2026 - 31/08/2027.

        About You We are looking for someone who is naturally warm, patient, and proactive.

        • Experience: Previous experience is desirable but not essential

        • Skills: A love for outdoor learning, a "can-do" attitude, and a genuine interest in child development.

        • Qualities: You should be a team player who communicates brilliantly with both young children and their families!
