About the role
Our Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning throughout the school. Working closely with teachers, you’ll help deliver engaging lessons, manage behaviour and routines, and support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students, particularly those with additional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art school building, opened in 2024, designed to foster high expectations, academic excellence, and strong character development. Your responsibilities will include supervising students, preparing learning materials, and supporting small groups or individuals, especially those with SEN or disabilities. You’ll also contribute to behaviour plans, IEPs, and provide feedback to support student progress.
Beyond the classroom, you’ll help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised environment, attend training and school events, and collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external specialists. A strong commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing, and ongoing professional development is essential, in line with statutory guidance such as *Keeping Children Safe in Education* and the Trust’s People-Centred Leadership strategy.
What We’re Looking For-
A passion for education and student development
-
Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
A proactive, flexible, and caring approach to supporting young people
-
Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting
-
A commitment to the ASPIRE values: Aspiration, Self-awareness, Professionalism, Integrity, Respect, and Endeavour
As part of the Great Schools Trust, you will benefit from:
-
Weekly, high-quality CPD and development opportunities
-
Access to CredimusAI tools that support efficiency and effectiveness
-
A strong wellbeing culture through our Staff Wellbeing Charter
-
A respectful, engaged, and inspiring student body
This is more than a job - it’s a chance to make a lasting difference, support young people, and be part of a values-driven educational community.
