About the RoleOur Teaching Assistants play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. You will assist in the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, help manage behaviour and routines, and support the academic, social, and emotional development of our students—particularly those with additional needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art school building, opened in 2024, designed to support a culture of high expectations, academic excellence, and character development.
Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support

Assist the class teacher in managing classroom activities and maintaining a positive learning environment
-
Support individual students and small groups to enhance their learning experience
-
Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the teacher
-
Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and school activities
Learning Support
-
Support the progress of students with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities
-
Use effective strategies to support learning and manage behaviour
-
Assist with literacy and numeracy interventions
-
Provide feedback to teachers to aid in student assessment
Classroom Management
-
Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
-
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans
General Duties

Contribute to maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised learning spaces

Attend staff meetings, training, and school events
-
Undertake other duties in line with the role, as directed by the teacher or leadership team
Communication & Collaboration

Work closely with teachers, support staff, and specialists to provide consistent student support
-
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and carers
Health & Safety
-
Follow child protection, health, and safety protocols
-
Promote and ensure pupil wellbeing in line with school safeguarding policies
Professional Development

Continuously reflect on practice and engage in professional development

Take opportunities to build skills and qualifications, with school support

Engage with the Trust’s People-Centred Leadership strategy
Safeguarding

Comply with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent)
