What skills and experience we're looking for
- Have a clear understanding of child development and the expectations of the KS1/KS2 curriculum
- Be committed to achieving high standards
- Be passionate about supporting the children's learning
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and have a good sense of humour
- Enjoy creating an inspirational and vibrant learning environment
- Work collaboratively and effectively within a year group team
- Recognise children’s barriers to learning and support children in overcoming these
- Have experience of supporting children, including those with a variety of SEN needs
- Have experience of working in partnership with parents

Smitham is a popular primary school within an exceptional setting.
The school has been expanding from two to three forms of entry since 2019, currently with three classes in Years R-4. Due to popular demand we have opened a second Nursery class.
