What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governing Body at Wootton St Andrew’s Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant.

Candidates must have experience of working with neurodiverse children with SEND. The working pattern will involve supporting during teaching times, 1:1 support and also recreational times.

The successful candidate will have knowledge, understanding and commitment to working closely with the class teachers to provide support for the children to promote independence, encourage inclusion and access to the curriculum and learning resources. They will need good communication skills, be enthusiastic and be able to work on their own initiative at times. Above all, we are looking for someone with a caring nature and kind personality who will have a range of strategies to ensure the children’s personal, social and emotional learning needs are met.
