What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to assist with learning activities, support pupils’ communication and independence, and will also help to successfully deliver intervention programmes.

The role also includes supporting personal care routines, following individual education and behaviour plans, assisting with Team Teach strategies and moving and handling procedures, supervising pupils around school and on visits, administering medication where required, supporting pupil attendance through monitoring and follow-up, and maintaining high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times.

Another requirement of the role will be to work within the student support team to support students and their families and to play an important part in achieving exceptional whole school attendance.
