St John Fisher Catholic High School is an 11-18 comprehensive school with a rich Catholic ethos. There are 800 students on roll including the Sixth Form.

The Governors of this thriving and increasingly successful Catholic comprehensive school seek to appoint Teaching Assistants to work within our Deaf Hub. The successful applicant will be required to work 34½ hours a week which includes 2 hours a week for CPD, school visits out of hours (full time), term time only. These roles involve:

Assisting students in our Deaf hub with their studies within and beyond the classroom.

Experience of Foundation / Early Years

Willingness to learn BSL (British Sign Language - no prior knowledge needed)

Assist Teacher of the Deaf to develop the deaf culture in school

St John Fisher is an 11-18 comprehensive school with a rich Catholic ethos. There are 800 students on roll including the Sixth Form. The school has excellent facilities and well-equipped rooms. The school was judged Good by Ofsted in October 2013, November 2017 and June 2023. It was also judged Outstanding by the Diocese in December 2013, 2018 and again in March 2022.
