What skills and experience we're looking for
St Michael’s RC Primary School are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant (Level 1). This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust
Working mainly, but not exclusively, with a SEN child the postholder will support the child to thrive and develop within the school environment. Working alongside the teaching and support staff the postholder will take a full part in the life of the school.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has experience of working with children in a paid/voluntary capacity.
- Is calm and compassionate with the sensitivity to work with children with Special Educational Needs and their parents/carers.
- Has an awareness of the school curriculum for Key Stage 1 and 2.
- Wants to support children’s development both educationally and personally.
- Is a team player, understands classroom roles and responsibilities and will support whole-school activity.
