What skills and experience we're looking for
St Patrick's RC Primary School is currently seeking Level 1 Teaching Assistant’s to work within EYFS and KS1. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Trust at the beginning of a journey of transition, development, and growth within the multi-academy trust.
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic teaching assistant who can work as part of our dedicated team to support staff. The candidate will be working with one or more pupils with complex special educational needs as well as providing general support for pupils inside the classroom. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of special educational needs and demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education.
Purpose of the role:
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring person, who can work as part of our dedicated and exceptional team. The candidate will be expected to support the class teacher in promoting effective learning and a positive environment for all pupils. The successful candidate will help to prepare learning resources, assist with classroom activities and support individual or small groups of children, particularly those who may need extra help with learning. They will play a key role in encouraging pupils' engagement, reinforcing the teacher's instructions and contributing to the smooth running of the classroom. Previous experience of working with children is desirable.
We are seeking an individual who:
- Has experience of supporting pupils.
- Is willing to support pupils with complex Special Educational Needs.
- Has a clear understanding of the Catholic faith and be willing to uphold the school's ethos and values.
- Foster effective relationships with all stakeholders.
