Teaching Assistant Level 1 job summary

We are seeking a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join our supportive team. The successful candidate will work in partnership with class teachers to support learning by working with individuals and small groups of children under the direction of teaching staff. Experience of supporting children with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Down Syndrome, is desirable.

You will assist with the delivery of planned learning activities, prepare resources, monitor pupil progress, promote positive behaviour, and help create an inclusive learning environment where all children can achieve their full potential. The role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

The successful applicant must be willing to support children with personal and intimate care needs when required and demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing.
