Grade 4 £17,307 to £18,438 per year

What skills and experience we're looking for

Initial contract: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent.

Responsibilities: Supporting pupils with EHCPs, working with individuals and small groups, and assisting within whole classes to enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

Experience: Proven experience in nurture and behaviour management in a primary school setting.

Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to engage and motivate children, and a commitment to being an integral part of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working 1:1 or with small groups
  • Apply knowledge of various intervention programmes, including phonics.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that boost achievement, independence and self-esteem.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has strong subject knowledge in English and Maths
  • Can support high-quality learning experiences for all pupils including those with special education needs.
  • Understands safeguarding practices
  • Is calm, patient, and sees the potential in all pupils
  • Can work independently and collaboratively with other staff members
  • Can confidently cover for the class teacher when needed (paid at the appropriate rate)
  • Can engage children in play and structured activities during playtimes and lunchtimes.
  • Brings a fun personality and good sense of humour.
