What skills and experience we're looking for

Sheffield South East Trust (SSET) formed in 2016 and unites seven local primary schools. The schools within the Trust work closely together for the benefit of the children and communities they serve. There are many opportunities for support, training and networking between the schools.

Manor Lodge is a thriving and successful school providing a happy and secure environment that encourages learning through a creative curriculum. We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to work in our . Applicants must have Primary school knowledge/experience, alongside a relevant level 2, or equivalent qualification (or experience) is required.

The role would involve supporting children with a range of special educational needs (SEND). We are seeking someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with speech, language, and communication needs and/or autism.
  • Is patient, empathetic, and skilled in building positive relationships with children and families.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to promoting the highest standards of support.
  • Holds relevant qualifications or training (desirable, but not essential).

deliver a truly creative curriculum. The school has a newly built Specialist Integrated
Resource for FS and KS1 pupils with an EHCP indicating social and communication
needs. Early Years education is firmly embedded and the school has a dedicated FS
base. The school has extensive grounds and utilises them well. Manor Lodge
Primary is a vibrant and outward-looking school. The successful candidate will have
the opportunity to work with all stakeholders, continuing to move the school forward,
within a supportive local Trust. The Trust aims for schools to grow and flourish, by
being individual and closely aligned with the community they serve, whilst having
strong networks with other, similar, local schools in SSET.
