Bidston Avenue Primary School is a large, vibrant, and values-led school located in the heart of the Wirral. Proud to be a founding member of The People’s Learning Trust, we serve a diverse and dynamic community, with a clear mission to ensure every child feels known, valued, and supported to thrive.
Our school ethos is shaped by a deep belief in the power of education to change lives. At Bidston Avenue, we are driven by three key curriculum drivers: Reading, Critical Thinking, and Resilience. These aren’t just words on a wall, they are the threads woven through every subject, every lesson, and every opportunity we offer our children.
We proudly promote a set of core values: Friendship, Respect, Equality, Determination, Inspiration, Courage, and Excellence. These values are lived and breathed in our school culture, guiding how we treat one another, how we learn, and how we grow… together. You’ll see these values in our classrooms, assemblies, playgrounds, and beyond.
We place children and families at the centre of everything we do. Whether it’s our commitment to inclusive practice, our innovative curriculum design, or our work with international partners in China and beyond, our school is always moving forward with purpose.
As part of The People’s Learning Trust, we benefit from strong collaboration, professional networks, and shared expertise. But Bidston Avenue remains proudly itself: a school with high expectations, a strong sense of community, and a passionate belief in every child’s potential.
We are always looking to work with staff who share our vision, who want to make a difference, and who are ready to bring energy, warmth, and ambition to our school. In return, we offer a supportive, purposeful environment where staff are trusted, challenged, and celebrated.
At Bidston Avenue, “That will do, won’t do because we will achieve together”
We aim high… because our children deserve nothing less.
