What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a
highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistant to work with
children on a 1:1 or small group basis. The post is term time only, daily
mornings 8.45am to 12 noon.
It would be preferable if candidates have had some experience of working with
children with SEND. The working pattern will involve supporting during teaching
times and recreational times.
The successful candidate will have knowledge, understanding and commitment to
working closely with class teachers to provide support for the children to
promote independence, encourage inclusion and access to the curriculum and
learning resources. They will need good communication skills, be enthusiastic
and be able to work on their own initiative at times. Above all, we are looking
for someone with a caring nature and kind personality who will have a range of
strategies to ensure the children’s personal, social and emotional learning
needs are met.
