What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governing Body of Brierley CE (VC) Primary School warmly invites applications from experienced, enthusiastic and highly skilled Teaching Assistants to join our hardworking, supportive and happy team.
We are seeking a dedicated professional who has a passion for supporting learning in Key Stage 2, helping pupils to grow in confidence, independence and achievement. The successful candidate may work across the school, but will bring valuable experience and a strong commitment to Key Stage 2 practice.
This position is temporary for one year in the first instance

About the Role
- Support pupils’ learning within the classroom, particularly within Key Stage 2
- Work with pupils individually and in small groups, to achieve targets
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, helping children to feel safe, confident and ready to learn
- Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities
- Help to promote positive behaviour and uphold the school’s high expectations
- Contribute to creating a nurturing, inclusive and engaging learning environment
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the needs of all pupils
- Undertake lunchtime supervisory duties, ensuring children are safe, happy and well supported during unstructured times
