Burford C of E Primary School are looking to appoint two committed, talented, specialised SEN Teaching Assistant to join our successful friendly team.

One role is 19.5 hours per week, and the second role is 27.5 hours per week.

We are a nurturing school, set in Burford, a growing Shropshire village, separated from the market town of Tenbury Wells (Worcestershire) by the River Teme, which acts as the county boundary.

We are seeking to appoint two SEN Teaching Assistants who:

  • Has specialist knowledge of strategies to support children on the SEN register/EHCP
  • Has a flexible approach and ability to work as part of a team
  • Is willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life
  • Can work closely, communicating effectively, with an experienced and skilled SENDCo and class teachers and other staff
  • Has the ability to think on their feet and use their initiative
  • Is motivated , passionate and reflective about their work
  • Has a commitment to professional development and the skills to engage positively with practitioners, parents/carers and families

We have a new SEN Hub/Resource Provision opening in September 2026. These roles will involve both working within the specialist provision and the mainstream.
