Do you want to work in a values-led school with a commitment to staff growth and well-being as well as outstanding progress for all pupils? Do you have a passion for children in Early Years and want to work in a dedicated team with fantastic leadership? If so, we would love to hear from you!
St. Andrew's is a Christian values-led, highly popular school and nursery in the heart of Kettering and is part of the Peterborough Diocese Academy Trust (PDET). We're proud of the way children not only make great progress in their learning, but also how we take such pride in developing our children's character and behaviour. Children are at the heart of every decision we make as we strive to serve and better our community.
Following a recent successful OFSTED inspection in 2023, our school has received a very well-deserved rating of Good, and inspectors commented; "This is an extremely inclusive and welcoming school. Pupils get on well with each other. They are caring and kind. They enjoy positive relationships with staff. Staff hold pupils’ interests at the heart of all that they do."
We are proud to be recruiting for a caring, passionate and professional Teaching Assistant, to join our EYFS Team, who is eager to provide learning and pastoral care of our children. There is, for the right candidate, opportunities to experience whole class teaching within Early Years and possibly qualifying as a Higher Level teaching Assistant through the school.
We are seeking someone who:
- Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community
- Has a good understanding of the Early Years Framework and early childhood development
- Can work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum
- Has the ability to work effectively, flexibly, and independently
- Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations
- Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being within the Early Years
- Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.
- Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare- both at home and in school.
If this sounds like the perfect job opportunity and you’d like to join our family, St Andrews CE Primary School would like to hear from you! Visits are actively encouraged! We would love to show you around our school for an informal tour. Please get in touch with the headteacher, Ben Arnell, by e-mailing him on head@standrews.pdet.org.uk
