Teaching Assistant - Level 2 job summary

The successful candidate will:

  • Work as a whole-class Teaching Assistant in the mornings, supporting teaching and learning alongside the class teacher

  • Deliver and support small-group interventions, helping pupils to make progress and engage confidently in their learning

  • Provide 1:1 support in the afternoons for a pupil with mobility needs, including:

    • Supporting safe movement around the school environment

    • Enabling access to the curriculum through technology, adaptations and reasonable adjustments

    • Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to promote inclusion and independence

    This post is temporary, reflecting the current needs of pupils.

    We are looking for someone who:
    • Is passionate about supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and inclusion

    • Is patient, flexible and nurturing, with a calm and positive approach

    • Works effectively as part of a team and communicates well with both adults and children

    • Has experience in a school setting (experience supporting mobility needs or assistive technology is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided)
