What skills and experience we're looking for

You will:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils, including those with special educational needs
  • Build positive, nurturing relationships that support children’s individual needs
  • Provide administrative support (e.g. photocopying, filing, displays)
  • Assist in creating engaging teaching materials and classroom displays
  • Share feedback on pupil progress, achievements, and any concerns
  • Promote positive behaviour and support conflict resolution
  • Work collaboratively within a team and build relationships with parents/carers
  • Contribute to the school’s ethos and wider development

An exciting opportunity for an inspirational teaching assistant has arisen at Heaton Park Primary School. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated individual to join our caring, committed team of professionals. You will be responsible for supporting pupils, teachers, and the wider school community. You will work closely with children—individually and in groups—to ensure they feel safe, included, and inspired to learn.
