What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.

Desirable

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, or relevant experience.

  • Experience of working in a school environment or with young people.

Desirable

  • Experience of working with students who have complex needs.

  • Experience of supporting students with challenging behaviour.

Essential

  • Proficient in the use of ICT.
  • Ability to supervise and assist students.
  • Knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities.
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.

Desirable

  • First aid qualification.
  • Working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
