Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant (level 2). As a valued member of our staff you will be instrumental in supporting our class teachers to achieve exceptionally high standards in learning and safe-guarding.
The successful candidate will be a team-player, have high expectations and a commitment to raising standards of attainment.
Assisting the class teacher within the classroom as well as taking small groups of children or 1:1 and supporting them.
For this role, you will need to:
- have previous experience of working with primary aged children within a school setting, preferably KS1 or KS2.
- have confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities and additional needs
- possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- know how to build relationships with children, families and colleagues
- be good at working as part of a wider team
- demonstrate some understanding of The National Curriculum
- have up to date knowledge of assessing children
- be able to work on your own with groups of children, directing and adapting learning according to the needs and expected outcomes
- have an up to date knowledge of safeguarding children
- be adaptable, flexible and resilient to the day to day rigours of school life.

Short listed candidates will be observed teaching a small group of children at Kingsway Primary as part of the interview process.
