Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary
Leys Farm Junior School is looking for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work as part of a well-established, nurturing, forward thinking team. The role involves supporting the class teacher, undertaking PPA cover, 1:1 support for pupils with an EHCP and leading small group interventions for Maths, English as well as mental health, well-being and sensory needs.
Other roles will include supervising at playtimes and lunchtimes. Supporting our breakfast club on a rota basis or leading an after-school club, would be desirable but not essential.
Experience of positive behaviour management and a knowledge of autism (ASD), ADHD, sensory, social, emotional and mental health needs is desirable.
We are looking for a motivated and nurturing individual who is flexible in their approach. You will be fully supported by teaching staff and there is opportunity for career development. As a staff we are a supportive, hard-working team with high expectations and we would welcome the opportunity to help an individual progress.
The position is 30 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
