Working pattern

Full time: We are looking for caring and adaptable Teaching Assistants to work primarily with Nursery children, support pupils with C&I in our Lodge. Monday-Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm 32.5 hours per week Term Time Only Plus Inset days

What skills and experience we're looking for

Key Requirements

  • NVQ Level 2 in childcare/early years or equivalent
  • Knowledge of EYFS and child development
  • Minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at grades A – C.
  • Committed to own professional development, and be willing to undertake appropriate training.
  • Good communication and listening skills and be able to present information verbally and in writing.
  • Able to feedback information to teachers and other staff.
  • Understand school’s policies and how they relate to local and national frameworks/policies (e.g. child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities, SEN).
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Able to use ICT effectively to support learning.
  • Can adapt planning if required.
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude, able to solve problems and exercise initiative.
  • The belief that all children deserve a life of choice and opportunity
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all children
  • Has an interest in, or experience of, supporting children with SEND, Autism and/or social and communication difficulties.
  • Ability to work successfully with children with SEND
  • Be passionate about working with children and developing young minds
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.

We are a small primary school in Ansley Common in North Warwickshire maintained by Warwickshire County Council.

Our aim is to provide a happy, safe, secure and stimulating environment where all our children are supported and encouraged to achieve their very best.
