At Oundle, we are proud to support our pupils to ‘be the best we can be.’ Following a successful Ofsted inspection in November 2023 inspectors reported that our three threads of ‘joy, kindness and resilience, are ‘weaved throughout life at school.’ In doing so, we seek to enable all pupils, regardless of their starting points, to flourish as individuals and reach their full potential. By learning to keep an on aspiring to ‘be the best they can be,’ our children achieve well and strive for more.

This goal extends towards our staff too. We acknowledge and appreciate the hardworking passion that our community commit to our school, and our success is due in no small part of their dedication and professionalism. We support staff with CPD, opportunities and training to ‘be the best they can be.’ Ofsted inspectors reported that ‘there is a calm yet excited feel around the school and the relationships between pupils and staff are highly respectful.’

We are looking to appoint an empathetic, considerate, and supportive Teaching Assistant to support children with individual needs., in upper Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will encompass our passion for inclusivity, to ensure everyone has the support and tools required to reach their potential and flourish.

Oundle is ‘particularly ambitious for those who are disadvantaged including those with special educational need and/or disability’ (Ofsted 2023) and therefore we expect the successful candidate to share in this motivation.

The successful candidate will therefore:

• Be approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community.
• Is committed to supporting, motivating and challenging the learning of children of all abilities within the classroom.
• Displays confidence in using a range of behaviour management skills.
• Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently.
• Shows initiative and creativity in different learning situations.
• Is passionate about children’s learning and well-being.
• Is keen to support the ethos of a church school.

Start Date –ASAP.

Hours – 27.5 hours, 39 weeks per year

Contract Basis – Fixed-term initially until 23/07/2025.

Pay Scale – Grade D3 (£24027 FTE – £15,343.76 pro rata)
