Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary

Simpson’s Lane Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our academy in November 2021. You will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area. The actual minimum pro rata’d salary for this role equates to £14,752.18 At Simpson’s Lane, we believe that when staff, parents and children work together, all children, irrespective of their background, can succeed and achieve their ambitions. The academy is located on the Warwick Estate in Knottingley. The academy is a slightly larger than averaged sized academy, catering for pupils from the Early Years Foundation Stage, through Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2. There are currently 350 pupils on roll, including 40 part time Nursery pupils. All of our staff feel proud to be part of our academy staff, this is reflected in the atmosphere and learning environments.
