Teaching Assistant Level 2 job summary
Supervise and provide particular support for identified pupil(s) with special educational needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
Use strategies, under the supervision and guidance of the teacher to support pupils to achieve learning goals
Assess achievement of SEND pupils and use systems to record progress
About you:
You will be an experienced TA preferably with 1-2-1 support experience as well as whole class support experience across either mainstream or specialist teaching settings. You will be well practiced at supporting pupils with special educational needs and SEMH requirements.
You will be adept at tailoring your approach and support to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
You will be able to set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils as well as promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
You will provide levels of care and support appropriate to the general needs of the children and those outlined in their EHCP’s and individualised plans.
