Teaching Assistant required (19093) Salary Band 2 starting salary - £18,065 - £18,795 per annum (Pro rata for hours)
Based at St Joseph’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, Cleethorpes
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Catholic Multi Academy Trust. St Thérèse of Lisieux CMAT is one of four newly created Catholic Multi Academy Trusts (CMAT’s) in the Diocese of Nottingham, which provides consistent, proactive and high quality support and services to all our head teachers, senior leaders and trustees.
We are seeking a proactive class teaching assistant initially in key stage 1 during the morning, who will support the delivery of high quality teaching and learning and who will inspire our children to achieve their full potential. During lunchtime you will be required to supervise different lunchtime activities to further support the children’s learning. The position will be 20 hours term time only.
This is a small caring school with a very strong Christian ethos and applicants do not need to be a practising Catholic but must be committed to working within a Christian ethos.

Essential educational requirements
Preferably NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification e.g. Teaching Assistant awards
English GCSE (A*-C), Level 2 Basic Skills Literacy, CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Child Care and Education, etc.
Knowledge & understanding of at least one area of learning, e.g. English, Maths, Science, SEN, Early Years, and KS 3 Strategy for literacy or numeracy.
There are no formal entry qualifications required for this band.
Essential skills and experience
Experience of working with children of the age with which the post is concerned.
Experience of ICT as a learning tool.
Able to relate well to adults and children their learning difficulties and their needs.
Good communication and interpersonal/listening skills.
Able to work effectively in a team.
Able to take direction but be prepared to take initiative when required.
Able to acquire new skills, be flexible and adaptable and to undertake other appropriate training.
Able to establish clear boundaries.
