What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential:
- GCSE C plus or equivalent Maths and English
- a practicing Catholic or supportive to the Catholic ethos of the school
- a desire to work 1-1 with SEND children.
Desirable:
- previous experience of working with primary age children
- an understanding of how children learn in different ways
- an ability to offer skills to the wider school
-a willingness to work with the children outdoors.

Further details about the role
The Academy Council is seeking to appoint a committed Teaching assistant with the vision, energy andambition to join our wonderful and welcoming school. We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic and calm member of staff.
Initially, the contract is fixed until 31st August 2024 but could be extended further, subject to funding.
The role will involve working under the direction of the class teacher to support individual children withspecial educational needs and also with small groups of children. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate personal qualities of dedication, patience, flexibility and humour. Working collaboratively as part of an effective team the candidate will be able to respond quickly to the changing needs of the school and the individual children, as well as demonstrating good levels of English and Maths. This role will also include lunchtime duties.
