St Christopher’s opened in 1958 and is an outstanding 11 - 18 Church of England Academy. Our caring community is based on a close partnership between staff, parents, pupils and governors and we foster strong links with local parishes and clergy, six of whom serve as School Chaplains. We emphasise pupils’ whole development, offering high standards of teaching in a range of courses to cater for all abilities, a wide extra-curriculum and making a priority of spiritual nurture, with religious worship and teaching at the centre of school life. We are an over-subscribed, flourishing and successful 11 – 18 Church of England Academy, an award-winning “Outstanding School” (SIAMS 2016). This year, 80% of Year 11 pupils gained at least 5 GCSE Grades 9-4 including English and mathematics, and 85% of A-level grades were awarded A*- C. The school of 1000 pupils, plus a Sixth Form of 300 pupils, is attractively and conveniently situated close to the Ribble Valley and has excellent motorway connections via M65 to M6 and M62.
