Teaching Assistant Level 3

Full time 36.66 hours per week,08.00am - 15.50pm (Hours need to include breakfast club).

Term time only, 39 weeks. Fixed Term until 31st July 2025 (potential to extend depending on need within the school).

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Teaching Assistant, to join our welcoming and dedicated school team.

The successful candidate will have experience relating to the role of TA within Key Stage 2. The role will involve supporting children during their learning while also preparing, planning and delivering of targeted interventions.

Key Responsibilities

To support the teacher in delivering a rich and varied curriculum in line with the attached job description. To assist and support pupils, including those with special educational needs, to access learning activities, through your knowledge of the curriculum and knowledge of how pupils learn.

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience of working within the relevant Key Stage

Has experience of working with children with English as an additional language.

Has experience of working with children with a range of complex learning needs

Is creative and positive

Is able to plan, prepare and deliver small group interventions

Is able to motivate and encourage children

Has excellent interpersonal skills

Has excellent team-working skills

Alexandra Park Junior School serves around 360, Key Stage 2 pupils in the Glodwick area of Oldham. It also provides a Key Stage 2 education for pupils from 7 years of age.
