Teaching Assistant - Level 3 job summary

Brookvale Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and nurturing Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dedicated team. We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has a good knowledge and understanding of working within a Reception class and is passionate about supporting young children to develop, learn and thrive. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider team to provide high-quality support for our pupils, helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment. You will have a caring approach, be able to build positive relationships with children and be committed to supporting their individual needs and development. Experience of delivering Little Wandle is desirable, although not essential, as training will be provided.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a Level 3 qualification relevant to working with children.
  • Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a Reception or Early Years setting.
  • Has a good understanding of the learning and development needs of young children.
  • Is enthusiastic, caring, nurturing and committed to helping every child achieve their potential.
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with children, colleagues and families.
  • Is able to work effectively as part of a team and support the class teacher.
  • Has a positive and flexible approach and is willing to learn and develop their practice.
  • Has experience of Little Wandle, or is keen to undertake training to develop their knowledge.
