What skills and experience we're looking for

The Governors of Dore Primary School wish to appoint a TA3 to coordinate after school wraparound provision and work supporting children across KS1 & KS2. This is a unique opportunity and a new role in school. The wraparound provision role will involve liaising with the admin team and colleagues to facilitate effective provision for after school care. It will also involve liaising with external providers to book sessions to be carried out in school. The role will be school based in the afternoons, with the remainder of the time used to support learners in classes across school.

We are looking for someone with relevant TA experience and the skills to adapt to meet the needs of children across key stages. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong desire to work within a team, who go above and beyond for the children and families at Dore. The role will require the candidate to be flexible in supporting various groups across school. We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated high levels of initiative and support beyond their own designated areas of responsibility.

What the school offers its staff

In return, we offer the successful applicant an opportunity to be part of a highly motivated, innovative and talented team of staff and children. Our staff are extremely positive about the role they play in the lives of the children at Dore Primary School and support each other to ensure that we offer our children the very best experiences every day. Together we are prepared to give whatever it takes to ensure that all children achieve their very best.

Please look at our website for more information about our school and our curriculum.

We are committed to safeguarding children and therefore the successful candidate will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check to ensure their suitability to work with children. Please note that is a criminal offence to apply for this post if you have been placed on the Children's Barred List. Applicants will also need to demonstrate a practical knowledge and a proactive commitment to safeguarding children. Candidates are asked to read the school’s safeguarding policy, which is available at: https://www.doreprimaryschool.co.uk/our-school/safeguarding . Appointments are made subject to the Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and satisfactory references.

For shortlisted candidates we will complete an online search.

Commitment to safeguarding

Dore Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children. We expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. All shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and therefore not subject to disclosure to employers.
