What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a qualified, highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 3 who will contribute to the continued growth of this caring, popular primary school and be fully supportive of the Catholic ethos.
We are looking for a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant who has:
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to work effectively with children, staff and parents
A commitment to ensuring children achieve their full potential
A dedication to raising standards within a broad and balanced curriculum
The ability to support children’s wellbeing and self‑esteem
A collaborative approach and enjoys working as part of a team
In addition, the successful candidate will:
Deliver tailored lessons and interventions to pupils with SEND, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), under the direction of the class teacher
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals (e.g., therapists) to deliver specialist interventions
Support pupils during transitions between the enhanced learning provision and mainstream classrooms, helping them engage confidently with lessons
Apply specialist strategies to help pupils regulate emotions, manage behaviour and remain engaged, including pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
Track, record and report on pupil progress towards EHCP targets and academic goals
