Teaching Assistant Level 3 job summary
We are looking for an exceptional Teaching Assistant at Heath Mount Primary School: -
- to work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils, promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion and to support pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
- is Read Write Inc trained.
- has ability to support KS2 if required.
- to supervise a whole class during the planned absence of a teacher for PPA.
- to cover classes to enable ECT teachers planning time.
- attend to pupils’ personal care including toileting, hygiene, dressing and eating as well as help with social, emotional, welfare and health matters in close consultation with class teacher and Inclusion Lead
- physically assist pupils in activities which may involve lifting where required.
