Teaching Assistant Level 3 (L3 TA) job summary

To support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development and education of all students.

Lead and supervise a team of Teaching Assistants.

To work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmes with individuals and or groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about providing excellent support and guidance for young people with SEND. This is also a wonderful opportunity for someone who is considering a career related to education and/or SEND provision, (including teaching at either secondary or primary level, educational psychology, mentoring, charity work, social work) to gain experience and learn first-hand from a very experienced and committed team of professionals, including external professionals and agencies, such as Educational Psychology and Autism Advisory Teams and Speech and Language Therapists.

The successful candidate will work alongside and under the guidance of the SENDCo and will be required to support individual students and small groups.
