What skills and experience we're looking for
We’re looking for a caring, motivated Teaching Assistant – Level 3 to support a pupil with SEND and help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to a pupil with SEND, ensuring safety and access to learning.
- Build positive, supportive relationships using a connection before correction approach.
- Promote independence, confidence and positive interactions.
- Assist teachers with adaptive teaching, preparing resources, and monitoring pupil progress.
- Deliver structured learning activities and interventions, adapting to individual needs.
- Support behaviour expectations and contribute to a calm, purposeful classroom.
- Use ICT to support learning and help pupils develop digital skills.
- Follow safeguarding, health & safety and school policies at all times.
- Participate in training, meetings and occasional cover supervision.
- Accompany pupils on school visits when required.
About You
- Experience working with children with SEND (desirable).
- Kind, patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive practice.
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude.
