Teaching Assistant Level 4 - SEND Specialist (Inclusion Hub Lead) job summary

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated and experienced SEND Specialist Level 4 Teaching Assistant to lead our SEND Inclusion Hub within our warm and inclusive school.

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled practitioner to take a leading role in developing and delivering high-quality provision for pupils with additional needs. The Inclusion Hub is a central part of our commitment to ensuring that all children, regardless of need, are supported to thrive both academically and socially.

The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day running of the hub, providing targeted teaching and interventions, supporting staff across the school, and working closely with the SENCO to ensure provision is effective, responsive, and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the SEND Inclusion Hub, ensuring high-quality provision for pupils
  • Plan and deliver tailored teaching and interventions for children with a range of SEND
  • Develop and implement personalised programmes aligned with EHCPs and support plans
  • Monitor, assess and track progress, adapting provision as needed
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to promote inclusive classroom practice
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, leadership team, and external professionals
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress
  • Lead on maintaining a calm, structured, and nurturing environment within the hub
  • Contribute to whole-school SEND development and inclusive practice

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has significant experience supporting or teaching pupils with SEND in a primary setting
  • Holds HLTA status or equivalent
  • Has a strong understanding of a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language)
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead provision and support others effectively
  • Is skilled in adapting learning and using targeted interventions
  • Has excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills
  • Is calm, patient, and resilient, with a nurturing and solution-focused approach
  • Is committed to inclusion and ensuring all pupils achieve their full potential
