The Trustees of Inclusive Schools Trust wish to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to work as part of a small and dedicated team at Lionwood Infant and Nursery School.

 We are interested to hear from individuals who have experience of working with children with special educational needs. In addition, knowledge of Phonics with a passion to support our pupils to develop their reading skills and a commitment to ‘going the extra mile’ to ensure that our inclusive ethos is desirable. The successful candidates will have:

  • High aspirations of children's learning and behaviour
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs 
  • Experience of phonics
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • A commitment to making inclusion a reality in the classroom 
  • A willingness to go the extra mile for the children and be able to make a significant contribution to the wider life of the school
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and parents/carers

This post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.
